Fjellet Kaller are experienced in running avalanche courses; we understand the needs of today’s backcountry and free-ride skiers. This 2-day course gives you a logical insight into how you can tackle difficult situations and make the right decisions in wild snow conditions.

BACK COUNTRY SKIING COURSE

Back country skiing is growing in popularity. There is nothing better than skiing down a mountain from its summit having got there under your own steam. Feeling one with nature, experiencing the sense of achievement, having fun with others, skiing and good physical exercise describe this new sport. If you wish to start back country skiing, this is the course for you.

Route choices, trip planning, ascent and descent techniques, avalanche awareness and the correct use of equipment are central topics covered on this course. Any questions you may have about back country skiing will be answered while you enjoy a safe trip with our mountain experts.

Do you want to learn more about descent line options, avalanche risk prevention and free-riding techniques? This 2-day course aims to make you both safer and tougher on skis. Fjellet Kaller have been running this course for many years at events in Hemsedal and Turtagrø.

The course is suitable for anyone who has skied quite a bit before and wants to develop their skiing further.

Are you dreaming of skiing down steep couloirs and exposed flanks? Steep skiing is considered the ultimate mountain experience in the cross-over point between skiing and climbing. Fjellet Kaller have many years’ experience within this field and we are more than willing to share our knowledge with you. When ski resort lifts close and snow conditions settle, a new and steeper skiing season begins!

 

Terrain assessment, steep skiing techniques, safety tools, correct choice and use of equipment, avalanche tuition and snow conditions are central topics covered on this course.
