SPORTS CLIMBING COURSE
Do you want to learn how to climb a wall on your own? This course provides you with a basic understanding of the skill and techniques required to climb safely. Safety techniques, moves, fall exercises and the selection and correct use of equipment are central topics covered on the course. The aim of the course is to make you an independent and safe sports climber.

MOUNTAIN CLIMBING COURSE
Have you been climbing for quite a while, and now want to progress from being a sports climber to a mountain climber? This course provides you with the tools to go out and climb safely in the mountains. Route finding, protection assessment and placement, selection and correct use of equipment, climbing techniques and multiple pitch climbs are covered on this course. You should have previous climbing experience to get the most out of this course.
You should have your own personal climbing equipment; otherwise Fjellet Kaller provide necessary equipment.

HEMSEDAL
The Hemsedal mountain range unites eastern and western Norway. The mountains are steep, easily accessible and enjoy a stable climate. Hemsedal is a popular place for mountain climbing and has a long tradition of climbing instruction and guiding. Fjellet Kaller guide on three of Hemsedal’s mountains.
Skogshorn
The impressive south face of Skogshorn provides the longest climbing routes in Hemsedal. Fjellet Kaller offer mountain guiding on two routes: Overraskelsen and Demonstranten. Both of these routes provide varied and superb mountain climbing opportunities, up to a Norwegian grade 5 level of difficulty. No previous experience is required; however, you should be used to the outdoors and physically fit.

Skurvefjell
Since the beginning of the 1970’s, Skurvefjell has been a popular mountain for climbing in Hemsedal. Good friction, an abundance of climbing options and fantastic views characterise Skurvefjell. We choose climbing routes based on weather conditions and the preferences of our clients. No previous experience is required; however, you should be used to the outdoors and physically fit.

Storehorn
If you drive westwards towards Hemsedal, you can see Storehorn’s steep, southern face above Hydnefoss waterfall. Storehorn is a mountain climber’s friend with a short approach. We choose climbing routes based on weather conditions and the preferences of our clients. No previous experience is required; however, you should be used to the outdoors and physically fit.

HURRUNGANE
The Hurrungane mountain range is the birth place of Norwegian mountaineering and one of the most beautiful mountain ranges inNorway.2000 metrepeaks shoot up between glaciers in an alpine landscape. Climbing in this area continues to fascinate new climbers, and old-timers return year after year.
Store Skagastølstind
Are you dreaming of climbing Storen, the big one, Norway’s third highest peak?
British mountain climbing pioneers of the 19th century categorised mountains into three classes, with a first-class mountain being one that involves climbing to reach the top. Store Skagastølstind is such a mountain, and climbing it is a must for any mountain goat. No previous experience is required; however, you should be used to the outdoors and physically fit.

Skagastøl Traverse
This is Norway’s best known ridge traverse. Five peaks above 2000 metres form this fantastic climbing experience. The ridge’s crown is Store Skagastølstind, 2405 metres above sea level, Norway’s third highest peak. No previous experience is required for this trip; however, you should be used to the outdoors and physically fit. Fjellet Kaller provide necessary equipment.

ROMSDALEN
The Romsdal Valley, viewed by many as Scandinavia’s Chamonix, offers a rich selection of climbs for mountain lovers. The classics Romsdalshorn and Vengetind are popular peaks which serve as introductions to a life-long relationship with the mountains here.
Romsdalshorn’s North Face
Romsdalshorn is perhaps the most climbed mountain in the Romsdal Valley and can be seen from the town of Åndalsnes. A climb up its northern face offers climbing up to a Norwegian grade 4. From the top, you get an excellent view, including the magical Trollveggen. No previous experience is required; however, you should be used to the outdoors and physically fit.

Store Vengetind by the normal route
Store Vengetind with its 1852 metres is the highest peak in the Romsdal Valley and a favourite among mountain lovers. The ascent covers relatively easy ground with some exposed passages where we use ropes. No previous experience is required; however, you should be used to the outdoors and physically fit.
